This Wednesday (16), on 11:0, happens at the Faculty of medicine University of São Paulo (FMUSP), Plasma-VLPs seminar: a novel vaccine platform for generating neutralising antibody responses and its application to Hepatitis C virus and HIV infections.

the seminar will be taught by professor David Klatzmann, University Pierre & Marie Curie (France), who was among the first researchers involved in the isolation of HIV

.

Klatzmann contributed the hypothesis that the HIV virus would have greater chances of being found in patients with Lymphadenopathy. After the virus isolation, showed selective HIV tropism for CD4 lymphocytes and their CPE, the first evidence that HIV was the cause and not effect of AIDS.
