Las Palmas de Gran Canaria will become the meeting on law and medicine, organized by Juris Vegueta SLU, which will take place on 8 and 9 March in Hotel Cristina, reported the organization in a statement.

In this way, medical criminal responsibility, ethical issues and legal face of the process of the end of life, the professional intrusion, the right of the patient, the responsibility of public authorities, or the position of the WTO before the dignified death law are some of the issues to be addressed during the meeting.

These days, led by the pharmacist and former General Director of pharmacy, Vicente Olmo Quintana, are aimed at the legal profession and the health law professionals, dentists and pharmacists: lawyers, medical professionals, public and private health sector, centres, trade unions, doctors and nurses, associations for the defence of the physician and the patient, and other specialists in this sector.

For its part, the importance of the right to health is evident in recent years, “not only because of the important legal changes produced and/or in process of change in our country in these matters, but by the application of international law, more specifically that of the European Union, which has an impact transcending way in decision-making than in the national health sector are made”, noted the organization.

Finally, accelerated advances in biomedical sciences are generating a live discussion on multiple aspects requiring the right to respond or update with equal alacrity.
