Madrid, 16 mar (EFE).-the pharmacists believe that the Catalan Parliament has committed a “illegality” to approve the payment of a euro by prescription that this competition is for the State, but also think that this measure creates an “inequality” between the rest of Spanish and Catalan citizens.

In statements to Efe, the President of the Business Federation of Spanish pharmacists (FEFE), Fernando Redondo, referred in this way to the measure adopted by the Catalan Parliament, which, in his opinion, “doesn’t seem to go to raise much”.

However, Romero has avoided pronouncing on the content of the measure itself and about whether the FEFE is favourable or not to it to not meet her in depth.

“Competences in the field of medicines, both in authorization in prices, margins and co-payment are the national system of health and both are from the State, though then are the autonomous communities which manage their health services,” said Redondo.

Also pointed out that the law lays down that “the user may go to any pharmacy in the State, with that with this measure already restricts the freedom of choice of pharmacy or at least puts a serious impediment”.

Las communities “are not attributable powers that do not have”, has affected Redondo, who has said that “we are accustomed to that commit illegalities from the institutions”. “It is not the first time”, he added.

But also the measure, according to the President of the Federation, “generates inequality among all users of the system national health by the Catalans are going to pay one euro and the rest of the autonomous communities not”

Redondo has also said that if the Vice President of the Government, Soraya Sáenz Santamaría, said after the Council of Ministers that the Executive has failed to address the possibility of establishing some health care co-payment system, is because “it is true that they do not have the table”.
