CARACAS (Reuters) – the President of Venezuela, Hugo Chavez, arrived Friday night in oil country after surgery of new a cancerous tumor in Cuba that will require treatment of radiotherapy before competing for re-election in October.

The military retired 57-year-old had announced at the end of the afternoon through the Twitter social network that began his return to Caracas, without giving details on his health.

A source close to the case said that the military Hospital in Caracas was ready to receive it, although Chavez has not said if radiation therapy you will be applied in Cuba or in Venezuela.
