Six countries are interested in the new models of health management of the community

Madrid, January 2012- the community of Madrid has received the visit of a total of 22 delegations from 15 countries during 2011 to experience firsthand various aspects of the Madrid health system, centers or specific services as well as to take an interest in the new health management models aimed at putting in place of new hospitals.

These new management models have allowed that since 2003 the madrileños enjoy ten hospitals in the public network, as well as two others that will open this year in the municipalities of Móstoles – that will make it during the second fortnight of March – and Collado Villalba. The community of Madrid modernises and decentralized and specialized care, closer to the people of Madrid hospital services.

In particular, seven delegations from six different countries have visited the community to be interested by the Madrid health network, the new models of public-private partnership and grant for the construction of new hospitals, and for the improvement of health infrastructure plan launched in 2003. Thus, Peru has sent two delegations: the national centre of strategic planning of Peru and the Cuzco Government delegation, which visited the Prince of Asturias Hospital and Hospital Infanta Leonor respectively.

EE.UU., Colombia, Russia and Brazil

A delegation from the Department of Quindío Colombia visited the Hospital de Henares for public-private partnerships in the provision of services. Prevention of HIV, transplantation and transfusion Center

A delegation of the Kyrgyz Republic attended the anti-drug agency and the Sandoval Center for actions on prevention of HIV in Madrid.
