San Sebastian, November 2009- Next Wednesday, December 2, the Minister of health of the Basque country, Rafael Bengoa, will deliver a Conference to be held at the Palace of Congresos Kursaal at 7 p.m. hours under the title “ new challenges of the Basque health ”.

Organized by the official College of nursing of Gipuzkoa, the objective of this Conference is to bring together all Basque health workers to address the key challenges today health care in the Basque country.

María Jesús Zapirain, President of the COEGI, ensures that “ are living a crucial moment in health care, where it is necessary to address some important decisions ”.

From the COEGI highlights the willingness that have been found in the new Basque Executive of health and are confident that this meeting will serve to strengthen relations with health institutions with a view to finding joint solutions to the various issues that affect the collective of health professionals.

Needs of the nursing

Nursing is the largest health collective. Specifically, in Gipuzkoa, there are more than 4,500 professional associations working in different areas of the sector and expected to resolve issues affecting your collective as nurse prescribing, and the development of specialities, among others.
