La Fundación Down syndrome of Madrid welcomes I Forum of neuropsychology and disability.

Madrid, January 2012.- La Fundación syndrome of Down in Madrid (FSDM) and the Universidad Camilo José Cela (UCJC) opt for creating spaces to showcase the latest empirical evidence and the experiences of the different professionals in the neurogenetics research, Neurobiology, neuroimaging, evaluation and cognitive intervention techniques. In all, both institutions convened I Forum of neuropsychology and disability, with the collaboration of the Ministry of education and employment of the community of Madrid, the official College of psychologists of Madrid and editions TEA.

This forum will bring together professionals specialized in disability and belonging to the area University, health, research and direct attention. Among them, Henri Bléhaut, director of the Research Department of the Leujene Jérôme Foundation (Paris); Mara Dierssen, researcher at the Centre for Genomic regulation, Barcelona; Ramon Novell, head of the psychiatric and intellectual disabilities of the Institute of healthcare service (Girona); Fabiola García, researcher at the Group of research cognitive and affective at the Aston Brain Centre (Birmingham); or Salvador Martinez, director of the laboratory of Experimental embryology of the Institute of Neuroscience (Alicante).

Research neuroscientist in the international scene, the neuropsychological assessment, cognitive intervention and research genetics and Neurobiology will be some of the issues that will be on the table throughout the two days that will take place at the CSIC in Madrid.

The deadline for registration will remain open until February 20, 2012 or until completion of the capacity.
