ANKARA (AP) – the Chief of medicine at a hospital in Turkey said his team carried out the first quadruple limb in the World Transplant put him two arms and two legs to a young.

Murat Tuncer requested blood donors Saturday to confront possible complications after an operation of 20 hours for more than 50 physicians in the Hospital of the University of Hacettepe in the Turkish capital. Did not provide more information regarding the patient.

The operation was carried out after failed attempt of three limb transplant two months ago in the southern city of Antalya. Doctors there were forced to remove one leg of a patient due to incompatibility of fabrics. The same patient received two arms.

Tuncer said his team also performed a face transplant Friday, the second operation of its kind in Turkey this year.
