Valencia, 2011-June throughout Thursday and Friday, the section of hemodynamics & interventional cardiology, Spanish society of Cardiology (SEC) held their annual meeting, the more important that takes place in Spain on this subject.
The meeting, which took place in Santiago GrisolÃa Auditorium, located in the city of Arts and Sciences, Valencia, brought together more than 500 experts on hemodynamics and coronary intervention. Among the attendees they are important representatives at the international level, as it is the case of Professor Patrick w. Serruys, who gave the keynote: From Metallic Cage to Bioabsorbable Scaffold: A Change In Paradigm In The past Decade? ”.
In addition, other attendees include the Chairman of the SEC, Dr. Carlos Macaya; the President-elect of the SEC, Dr. Vicente Bertomeu, and the President of the section of hemodynamics & interventional cardiology of the SEC, Dr. Javier Goicolea.
Some of the main issues addressed are the evolution of the implementation of the initiative Stent for Life in Spain, which supports the primary angioplasty as best option for treatment after suffering a heart attack; the latest news on cell therapy for cardiac regeneration or the review of the most significant cases in coronary intervention.
On the occasion of the celebration of this annual meeting, it has also organized the meeting of the group work of nursing in hemodynamics and the meeting of the Working Group of senior technicians in medical image diagnostic.
