Spain, December of 2011- the world day against AIDS, is a day of Community action to promote public awareness and the involvement of society in the prevention of infection with HIV.
This year marks 30 years since the beginning of the epidemic (the first cases of AIDS were diagnosed in 1981), therefore this opportunity this anniversary to remember that HIV and AIDS continue to exist and to take stock of the achievements during these years and the remaining challenges.
Objectives of the world day:
-encouragement of the conduct of the test for HIV.
-Involve the workforce in the early detection of HIV infection.
-Promote the use of condoms in the relations sexual.
-To promote a correct knowledge of the routes of transmission of HIV and the evolution of the infection.
-Convey the importance of respect for people with HIV in the fight against the epidemic.
