Ad Qualitatem and Semes to develop a quality standard specific for emergency services. Madrid, February 2013- la Fundación Ad Qualitatem, reference in the promotion of quality in the health professions, together with the Spanish society of Medicine of health emergencies (Shemesh), have developed a Norma de Calidad to establish accreditation standards for hospitals (standard SHEMESH-AD Qualitatem) emergency services. The standard is based on the model of SHEMESH accreditation of hospital emergency services, existing since 2006 and under which have been credited to 7 emergency services, having been updated and adapted to the EFQM model. Thus, the standard conforms to the current reality of the emergency and healthcare quality management services. The Working Group, coordinated by José Antonio Moreno, director of GHISA Consulting, has enjoyed, among other professionals, Tomás Toranzo, Santiago Tomas and Julián Mazota, President, Secretary and Secretary for quality and accreditation of Shemesh, respectively, and JoaquÃn Estévez and Cristina Camuñastechnical general Secretary and consultant of the Foundation Ad Qualitatem. The standard consists of 400 standards, divided into 9 criteria and sub-criteria 32 – according to the structure of the European quality – management model.
