Brazil is the world leader in research on infectious diseases

The British Magazine The Economist, published an article in the January 2011, which highlights Brazil as the leading investment in research and development (r & D) to combat infectious diseases.

Brazil

the title of the article suggests that the country is a promising destination for young scientists from around the world: “Go south, young scientist” (go south, young scientist – in free translation). The text points out that, in addition to the Brazil have a scientific community active, the Government’s financial investment in research is high – 1% of gross domestic product (GDP) – almost double the average of the other countries of Latin America

.

Since 2003, the Ministry of health invests and directs much of its resources to research lines related to infectious diseases of poverty such as dengue, Chagas disease and malaria. Aesthetics tips tricks and inspirations

The Rely X Veneer cement is a highly appropriate and complete for cementation of resin and ceramic veneers. With a particular highlight for ease of handling and great color stability and physical properties. Another interesting point is that this cement was inspired by the technology already known of resins Flow and Rely X ARC.

Aesthetics/> is with pleasure that I accepted the invitation to conduct a column in this great enterprise that is the Catalyst Magazine. It is really very rewarding to witness people like those in the VP Group, engaged in building our profession. In this sense, I will follow this same purpose, bringing my impression on new materials and techniques, thoughts, tips and General Affairs related to the day-a-day of surgery, as well as motivational and inspirational texts with the aim of working the spirit of leadership and technical professional

dentistry.

This first addition, I would like to share with you my impression about a specific new release to cement aesthetic facets.

Aesthetics

This is the cement Rely X Venner, manufactured by 3 m Espe. The material is a resin system fotopolimerizavel able to cement composite ceramic laminates:

    • /TEGDMA zirconia particles BisGMA;/silica with average size 0.6 μm in 66% by weight; patented thixotropic – dimethacrylate polymers; efficient initiation system, which promotes the polymerization of cement when exposed to visible light of 400mW/cm2. Presents itself to the dentist in the form of syringes of proof folder (folder try-in-five colors).
    • Syringes with resin cement (five colors). Try folders in simulate the color of the cement below the facets. Are excellent to choose the color before setting which will be used, especially in cases where the facets were used or Feldspar-type and reduced thickness max. The good that folder is that it is a water-soluble polyethylene glycol product (not “sticks” in facet). The available colors are: translucent; (B) 0.5; opaque white. A1;
    • A3.

    Aesthetics

I particularly enjoyed the consistency of cement as well as his syringe which can be used directly in the play. The thixotropic was a decisive factor for the quality of the handling of this cement in the clinic. When I pressed the embolo and applied the material in parts, was extremely easy without the presence of “sticky” or difficulty in withdrawing the syringe material. Another point that I liked was that when you position the rolled, cement was easily removed with a brush

    .

did the test also removing excess cement with a soft light pulse distance to promote the gel point of cement and this be highlighted more easily. The Rely X Venner responded faster, so if the dentist would prefer to withdraw the excesses in this way, should give a light pulse smaller and with a distance slightly larger

    Conclusion

the Rely X Veneer cement is a highly appropriate and complete for cementation of resin and ceramic veneers. With a particular highlight for ease of handling and great color stability and physical properties. Another interesting point is that this cement was inspired by the technology already known of resins Flow and Rely X ARC with the advantage of being fotopolimerizavel and not bring the drawbacks of the instability of color of dual

    cements.
