Torrevieja, January 2012.- The Hospital in Torrevieja has hosted a training talk for midwives and practitioners of nursing, aimed at prevention and awareness about drinking alcohol during pregnancy and lactation.

The meeting framed in this awareness campaign, directed by Mr. Esteban Jiménez Pina, técnico superior research, has counted on the participation of professional nurses and midwives, professionals more closely associated with the comprehensive care of the pregnant woman and pediatric patients from the Health Department, Torrevieja.

From the direction of nursing of the torrevejense Centre are promoted such initiatives that contribute in the prevention and raising awareness about issues that affect directly the health of patients.

Madrid, January 2012.- the Union of diabetes and obesity (diabesidad) is currently experiencing a significant increase. Madrid, January 2012- the Hospital of Torrejón, which was inaugurated by the President of the community of Madrid, Esperanza Aguirre, September 21, meets three months of successful operationwith a total of 68.656 patients treated, representing a daily average of 754 patients.

“ Citizens have gone significantly to our outpatient specialists. Today 46.361 people have chosen the Torrejon Hospital for accessing a consultation with a physician. As for the next few months, other 26.353 citizens already have appointment with our specialists ”, said the Manager of the Centre, Ignacio Martinez Jover.

The hospital has been structured their consultations on a high-resolution model so that the patient is not forced to return to the hospital in successive days for testing and the final diagnosis. In cases where it is possible, the patient is seen in consultation, the tests are performed and it is diagnosed on the same day, so go to your home with a diagnosis and a treatment for your problem.

On the other hand, the Centre has carried out 2.421 surgical interventions.

Of these, 85% have benefited from surgery techniques without income (2047 interventions) that allow the patient is given high on the same day and return to his home and his normal life in the shortest possible time. As hospital admissions, hospital has registered 1,599 altas, which correspond to so many others.
