Barcelona, next seat of the 5th European Congress on obesity surgery and metabolic and the 1st Iberian Congress of Bariatric Surgery, takes the initiative in the fight against obesity.

Barcelona will be the month of April the official headquarters of the 5th European Congress on obesity surgery and metabolic organized by the IFSO-EC (International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity & Metabolic Disorders European Chapter) to be held from 26 to 28 April.

Barcelona, February 2012. The European Congress dates match the 1st Iberian Congress of Bariatric Surgery, jointly organized by the Spanish society and Portuguese obesity surgery (S.E.C.O and SPCO respectively), with the fourteenth Congress of the society Spanish of surgery of obesity (S.E.C.O) and the meeting of the section of obesity Wrbida of the AEC (Spanish Association of Surgeons), which will take place on 25 and 26 April.

The different congresses meet at a number of specialists in the treatment of obesity and in particular in the field of Bariatric Surgery, a branch of surgery designed to make, through different types of operations, changes in the digestive system that generated a loss of weight based on the gastric capacity reduction, in the reduction of the capacity of absorption of ingested nutrients or a combination of both.

Obesity is a serious health problem and greatly affects the quality of life of those who suffer from it. Currently it is estimated one 2 person today are overweight or obese is almost half of the OECD countries, being Spain one of the countries which has a higher percentage of obese population with rates of 16% for adult women and 19% in the case of adult population male (1).

According to the Dr. Joan Pujol – medical specialist in General Surgery and digestive and President of the V Congress European of the obesity surgery and the 1st Congress of Bariatric Surgery Iberian and metabolic – constant advances in techniques and more sophisticated surgical materials have made possible that increasingly are made interventions with a greater precision, reduced risks and better results. For many people with overweight, bariatric surgery is the only solution to combat obesity ”.

Spain, where are calculated that they are between 6,000-7,000 interventions of Bariatric Surgery, is situated at the head of the countries of Europe with the highest number of surgeries performed.

La IFSO (International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity) is the entity responsible for promoting internationally different meetings between specialists in the field of Bariatric Surgery in order to reinforce development and research on existing in this type of surgery techniques.

The objective of this entity is the fight against chronic disease has become one of the biggest problems today and that in the majority of cases is trigger for other diseases.

About IFSO (International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders): the International Federation of obesity surgery and metabolic disorders (IFSO) is a Federation composed of national associations of different countries bariatric surgeons.Currently, there are 40 associations such as official members of the IFSO. There are also members from countries that until now have not formed a National Association.

IFSO has been and is primarily a scientific organisation, which brings together surgeons and other health professionals, such as nurses, dietitians, nutritionists, psychologists, internists and Anaesthesiologists, involved in the treatment of patients with obesity morbid.

First meeting of psychoanalysts of Spanish language.

Madrid, February 2012.-the next days 3, 4 and 5 February will take place at the Casa América, Madrid, the first psychoanalysts meeting of Spanish language organized by the Psychoanalytic Association of Madrid, whose theme is “Validity and topicality of the psychoanalytic method”.

In the plural and diverse of psychoanalysis in the 21st century panorama the psychoanalytic method, perhaps the element common to all flows with all psychoanalysts.

Freud discovered the unconscious and created the psychoanalytic method, which allows you to combine research and therapy. He defined as a procedure for access to the unconscious, inaccessible otherwise. We should claim the validity of the method, in its dual role of scientific method and therapeutic method, valuing it as the fundamental basis, the central laboratory where he exercised his work deeper into the discovery of the unknown.

Different psychoanalysts have deepened in the various elements of the method; its intrinsic root is based on dialogue between analyst and patient, and multiple coordinates that pass around: panning, transfer, the countertransference, listening, interpreting, the elaboration…

For this first meeting of psychoanalysts of Castilian language had been chosen to open a dialogue on the method, paradigm of the psychoanalytic dialogue, focusing on the method from different corners, to rediscover its validity and timeliness.

This encounter between psychoanalysts of different latitudes would ensure progress through common language; Spanish, in an in-depth dialogue of psychoanalytic thought.

Interview with Teresa Olmos de Paz, Coordinator of the Organizing Committee of the meeting first of psychoanalysts of Spanish language

How important is this first encounter of psychoanalysts of Spanish language?

We believe that this first meeting of psychoanalysts of Spanish language organized by Madrid Psychoanalytical Association which will take place in the Casa de América on next 3, 4 and 5 February, provides an opportunity to meet psychoanalytic thinking of Spanish-speaking, which has developed in different geographical contexts.

Perhaps, it is also a way of doing a Freudian dream. Although we know that Freud had never visited Spain, he remained an important link with aspects of our culture.

We believe that it is an important stimulus to the development of thought and to deepen the psychoanalytic dialogue in our own language.

What are the themes to be treated?

The theme of this first meeting of psychoanalysts of Spanish language is: validity and current issues of the psychoanalytic method.

In the plural and diverse of psychoanalysis in the 21st century panorama, the psychoanalytic method, perhaps the element common to all flows with all psychoanalysts. Freud discovered the unconscious and created the method allowing to combine research and therapy, and defined it as the procedure to access the unconscious, inaccessible otherwise.

What interest does this matter?

We believe that it is a fundamental issue, at this time which sometimes Queen much confusion. The psychoanalytic method distinguishes psychoanalysis of other psicoterapeúticas.

We have chosen to open a dialogue on the method, paradigm of the psychoanalytic model, focusing on the same from different vertices, allowing us to rediscover its validity and timeliness.

Leopold Nosek (Sao Paulo) his paper is: “method, a musical allegory.”

Teresa Olmos de Paz (Madrid) his paper is: “A reflection on the psychoanalytic method and its object.” How has it changed the technique?

Jorge Maldonado (Buenos Aires) his paper is: “the anguish, interpreting and the vicissitudes of the relationship analyst-analyzed”.

I would like to point out that we think the importance of this first meeting… is dialogue between us, both in discussions with the room in task groups. For this reason we thought that the papers have a limit of 20 minutes each.

The Sunday 5, morning, Haydée Faimberg (Argentina-Paris), Rafael Ferrer (Barcelona) and Rugero Levy (Porto Alegre) give us a vision of what has been done.

There will also be a panel discussion on Saturday afternoon after the groups with the title: “the Spanish language and the internationalization of the International Journal of Psychoanalysis”, coordinated by Gustavo Jarast (Argentina) and with the participation of Roosevelt Cassorla (Sao Paulo) Jorge Canestri (Rome) Claudia Borenjstein (Argentina) and Leopold Nosek (Sao Paulo).

Is there continuity in this model of meeting?

It is our wish to give continuity to this first meeting…

Barcelona, February 2012.- close 3,000 professionals of mass consumption and hardware and DIY, trade and health sectors, to participate through 2012 in the training Plan of AECOC, the Association of manufacturers and distributors which brings together nearly 25,000 companies, which begins this week in Madrid.

The plan includes a total of 222 training sessions of various kinds, who offer to attendees from the latest trends in trade marketing, management by category or point of sale until the keys to increase efficiency in processes such as consolidation, data synchronization, electronic invoicingLogistics or the implementation of promotions. The Plan also includes 37 thematic days, 63 courses “ in-company ” – with content tailored to the needs of each company – and 10 international seminars to learn the keys to success of relevant markets.

On this occasion AECOC also includes three new features in its schedule of courses. Thus, aware of their growing importance, introduces the Shopper marketing as a formative thematic through two workshops to be held in March in Barcelona and in October in Madrid. Also held in Barcelona, in the month of March, a course to learn about the opportunities of the Convenience Spain. Formation by sector

Valencia, February 2012.- ensure that issues related to accessibility, ease of use and satisfaction of the client in services like catering or the utilización of means of transport is the objective of the SIMPLIT initiative applied to services that have launched the Institute of Biomechanics (IBV) and the Democratic Union of pensioners and retirees of Spain (UDP).

This is one of the novelties of the follow-up meeting held recently between the two entities with the aim of analysing the evolution of this ambitious project created at the end of 2009 to ensure that the products – and now also the services – are designed taking into account the needs of consumers of all ages.

“ The good reception that has taken the initiative with the evaluation of the ease of use and advice in product design, has led us to expand it to the services offered by the companies, a field in which there is much work to be done ”, explains the President of UDP, Luis Martín Pindado.

To evaluate the services, IBV will draw on techniques of Mystery Shopper, with the collaboration of older persons belonging to the UDP Association from around the country.

For Rakel Poveda Puente, Director of the area of older people of the IBV, “ to take into account the needs, preferences and expectations of the client, do involve the design and improvement of the service offered, which contributes to their loyalty and ensures the success of our business ”.

Older people selected nationally to make mystery shoppers (surprise customers) will receive training provided by IBV where explain what is their participation in the evaluation of the service.

ANECORM announces their 4th award for research, with 3,200 euros.

– the award, sponsored by Hospira, will be delivered at the 6th Congress of the National Association of nursing Coordinator of material resources, to be held in Madrid from 24 to 26 October 2012

-2012 Anecorm Excellence Award and the health product of the year award, are other distinctions, delivered during the development of the scientific workshop

Madrid, February of 2012- the National Association of nursing Coordinator of resource materials (ANECORM), convened the 4th award for research, with the aim of stimulating research among nursing professionals.

Candidates who opt for this award may submit any research work in the field of assessment of health products and technologies and the management of resources, provided that at least one of the authors is enrolled in the 6th ANECORM Congress to be held in Madrid on 2425 and October 26, 2012. The members of the jury and the directive Board of the Association shall be excluded. Participation may be individual or collective title. In the latter case, more than seven authors are not accepted for work.

In this Edition, the amount of the award, is the cumulative amount of 3,200 euros, to desert the prize of the third edition.

The works submitted must be written in Castilian language, be unpublished and not receiving any other award. They may be about any area of research in the field of material resources (RR.)Mm (.), used by nursing.

The awards will fail by a jury made up of the Chairperson and Secretary of the Association ANECORM, which will act as Chairperson and Secretary of the jury, three members of the Scientific Committee of the Congress, elected from among its members, each with voice and vote, and a representative of the sponsor without the right to vote. The jury will assess their impact and applicability in the innovation and improvement of the quality, safety and efficiency of products and health resources in a special way. The deadline for the submission of papers is October 1, 2012.

Attendees of the 6th Congress of ANECORM may participate actively in this scientific meeting with the presentation of communications in Oral and poster format. The deadline for receipt of communications on September 21, 2012. Communications must be about one of the thematic areas of the Congress.
