EE.UU. approves four variants of influenza vaccine

Washington, 29 feb ( EFE).- The Administration of drugs and food ( FDA, for its acronym in English) today announced the approval of a vaccine that protects against four common flu variants, which will reduce the impact of the disease. The FluMist Quadrivalent will serve to protect people from the 2 to 49 years against two branches of influenza A and two other flu type B. Previous vaccines only contained viruses off of two types of influenza A and influenza B, so the sum of a new type B, significantly increases the protection. The vaccine will be administered via nasal and by reinforcing protection to the strain of influenza B will especially benefit children and groups in schoolchildren, according to the FDA. EC closes its investigation into drug companies AstraZeneca and Nycomed

Brussels, 1 mar (EFE).-the European Commission (EC) announced today the closing of its research on drug companies AstraZeneca and Nycomed, to not have found evidence that he had acted to prevent the access of generics to the market. The Spanish society of Retina and vitreous brings together more than 800 experts in its 16th annual Congress in Valencia

VALENCIA, 1 ( EUROPA PRESS) More than 800 experts, national and international, will meet in Valencia, during the next few days 2 and 3 March, to discuss the latest advances in the fight against blindness, in the framework of the 16th Annual Congress of the Spanish society of Retina and vitreous ( SERV), as reported by the organization in a statement.
