Barcelona, may 2012.- The economic crisis facing the Spanish State is serving as pretext the Government to take measures more ideological nature than health endangering of death to many people with chronic diseases such as HIV. Therefore, the community network on HIV/AIDS of the State Spanish (REDVIH) platform for organizations and activists of civil society working in the response to HIV, through its human rights observatory, opposes health care reform promoted by the Government with the publication of the Royal Decree-Law 16/2012, 20 April, urgent measures to ensure the sustainability of the national health system and improve the quality and safety of its benefits, for the following reasons: 1. Royal Decree Law puts an end to the principle of universality of the Spanish health system, one of the things that Spain was an example. With this reform of the law denies the right to public health (limiting it to emergencies) to foreign nationals not registered as residents, over 26 years who have never contributed and unemployed who have exhausted the subsidy and not credited to find without resources ”.
