Madrid is the first accredited community to make all types of organ transplant. on Wednesday celebrated the national day of the organ and tissue donor. -The number of transplants in the community has grown by 16 percent in the first five months of the year -the 88 per cent of the families to which the donation was requested responded affirmatively – more than 57,000 Madrid already have organs donor card Madrid, June of 2012- the community of Madrid has become the first autonomous community whose hospital services they are accredited to perform all types of organ transplants, both adults and children, registered in Spain. The relationship of transplant has been completed by the program of child pulmonary transplant, launched jointly by hospitals La Paz and Puerta de Hierro-Majadahonda, which has already received accreditation by the General direction of management and inspection, in collaboration with the Regional Office of coordination of transplants.
