Tegucigalpa, 1 Dec (EFE).-the incidence of the syndrome of acquired immunodeficiency (AIDS) in Honduras has declined in the past four years in the country, however, the health authorities recorded annually between 900 and 1,000 new cases.<\/p>\n
thus reported today the Director of the program AIDS Secretariat of health, H\u00e9ctor Galindo, who told journalists that the epidemic of the deadly disease has had a ’stability in the past four years’.<\/p>\n
added that the purpose of the health campaign for the prevention and control of AIDS, whose world day is commemorated today, is to “reduce to zero cases”, but which are annually occurring from 900 to 1,000 new.<\/p>\n
the first case of death from AIDS in Honduras was recorded in 1985.<\/p>\n
some 10,000 people have died since then, according to health authorities, which recorded approximately 31,000 patients,.<\/p>\n
