Barcelona, 2011-October threats, insults, theft, robbery with intimidation, damage and assaults are crimes suffered daily by numerous pharmaceutical Spain. offences that too often are seen by the professional as a lesser evil, as a fatalism with which have to settle and live. However, although the pharmacy is a particularly vulnerable business, its security can improve.

So was born the project secure pharmacy. A pioneering initiative created by the Club of the pharmacy of Almirall, S.A. to inform, discuss and recommend to all practitioners of the pharmacy on security issues, and become well in a dynamic space and reference that fill the gap in the sector on these issues.

The first activity of the project secure pharmacy, is underway. It’s a survey to all pharmacists and has as objective to know what they think about the safety of your workplace and what is your personal experience. From the website of the Club of the pharmacy it is possible to respond to a series of questions divided into five thematic areas: territory, population and services; The profession and safety training; Pharmacy: security features; Victimization and perceptions of security and the police.

It offer professional resources that are practical and useful, in a direct and easy, way to providing the expertise of professionals related to the security.

In addition, a document of Declaration of intent – which may accede all pharmacies of Spain – will be written in coming days. All the signatories undertake to work every day to improve security and identify them a badge that will be placed on access to the pharmacy.
