AMYTS reinforces its call for strike on 26, 27 and 28 June, with the coordination and unity of action between the doctors of the comunidad de Madrid

Madrid, June 2012.- Association of doctors and top graduates of Madrid (AMYTS), majority professional organization among doctors and graduates of Madrid, among other measures of pressure, has convened a Madrid public health doctors strike for days 26, 27 and 28 June (three hours of unemployment in each of the shifts in those days).

This is the answer to the constants and serious assaults and humiliations that us relates the Community Government as they are: the cut of 6% of all supplements the monthly payroll, except the destination plugin, representing between 140 and 250 euros per month according to scope of work and category; another rebate added in the extra pay of summer and December of 250 EUR; the Suppression of compensatory activity to the guards to doctors over the age of 55; the abolition of the payment of distributions in primary care with what is not reward work overloads; the prohibition of clearance on Monday.

These measures build up to a reduction in remuneration since 2008 to 30% round and a remarkable decrease of resources that should guarantee the quality of care to patients. Medical staff reminds Ms. Aguirre that as a result of the increase of day to 37.5 hours, doctors and graduates we have seen reduced our wages 3%, being the only public employees in which the increase of day has led rigged a decrease from your wages.

In order to combine efforts and achieve the objectives set, as usual, AMYTS will continue to forge partnerships with all professional organizations of doctors and graduates of higher arranging them in the following way:

1. Established contact with the Association of physicians specialists of Madrid (AFEM). After the meeting, held on 14 June 2012, both organizations have committed to maintain a line of direct information and participation in the discussion and decision-making to and strengthen the unity of all physicians.

2. Equally, the same line of action with the scientific societies that have already initiated contacts and, as usual, it is hoped that it will be completed with a partnership agreement in defence of the profession will be maintained.
