Madrid, November of 2011- the life expectancy of people with Down syndrome and other intellectual disabilities is, fortunately, more and more. To also increase the quality of life in the adult stage of these people, the Foundation, Down syndrome, Madrid offers resources and projects adapted to their needs for support.

Among them, is construction and commissioning of 3 olives ”, a care center for adults with disabilities which reinforces the work the FSDM usually conducted with these people. The Centre will include a residence and centralize, in addition, other resources such as training and insertion for working life, psychological and pedagogical advice, school families, and so on. All this is aimed at supporting people with intellectual disabilities since the beginning of the adult stage and throughout his life.

To contribute to the financing of this Centre, the FSDM and Navarro stylists have launched an initiative through the creation of twelve Cinderellas by 2012 ”. It is a schedule in the form of short story in which a group of children with intellectual disabilities and more than 20 artists participated: Pastora Vega, Dafne Fernández, rain red Esmeralda Moya, Ana Fernández, Jesús Vázquez, Laura Sanchez, Manuela Velasco, Carolina Cerezuela, Adriá ColladoVanesa Romero, Aida Folch, Elisa Mouliaá, Maria Adanez, Elena Furiase, Ricardo Gomez, Juan Postigo, Noelia Lopez Vidal, Eloy Azorín, Laura Pamplona, Pablo Castañón and Patricia Vico give life to the characters of Cinderella. Singer Ana Belén acts as godmother of the project with photographs of Joan Crisol, illustrations by Peter Hergar, Leo Cerrud texts and the work of the entire team of stylists Navarro.
