Global Fund highlights the work of El Salvador against HIV/AIDS as “solid”

San Salvador, 1 sep (EFE).-the Global Fund against HIV/AIDS today described as “solid” the work that is done El Salvador to address and counter this disease, although he acknowledged that the rights area should be strengthened human.

Consultancy carried out by seven international evaluators highlighted, among other things, that the El Salvador programme “lacks mechanisms, indicators and activities to ensure the confidentiality and privacy for HIV testing”.

Between the strengths noted the inclusion of the Legislative Assembly and the Attorney-General for human rights within the actors responsible for the implementation of the programme against HIV/AIDS.

The final report will be presented in mid-September, he told Efe Olivier Letouzé, representative of the Global Fund in El Salvador, who also added that it must still pass by another process before being published.

“With this report the country may request funding to continue the fight against HIV/AIDS worldwide,” said Letouzé.

Will rise to 50 dead from drinking toxic liquor in Ecuador

Quito, 1 sep (EFE).-the death toll from drinking poison in Ecuador liquor increased to 50, after registering today the death of two people for that reason, reported the Ministry of health.

Researchers discover why tumor cells change aspect

The scientist noted, however, if environmental conditions affecting these cells are changed, the process is reversed.

The study has been primarily in breast and colon tumors, and in addition to serving to learn more about the disease, the results are important because they allow to predict that it is possible to speak externally in the process.

Using pharmacological treatments could reverse the process and move is very evolved to a more primitive tumor that would be associated with less progression of the disease.
