For protecting children against overweight and obesity, and that they enjoy good health throughout his life, parents should instill in them, since childhood, interest in physical activity and good nutrition. We offer you some recommendations.

According to the authors, “factors of risk of some chronic diseases (such as obesity, diabetes, some cancers and cardiovascular diseases) that can develop during childhood and adolescence.” “Therefore, efforts to reduce risk factors should start at an early age”.

According to the Guide, the stage of “consolidation” of habits is a transition between childhood and adolescence, which produced many changes physical, cognitive, and psychosocial, in which children have to try several sports and choose the more they like, so that the practice of sport is stimulating and is maintained in adolescence and age adult.

At these ages in which already should be accepted all the foods and flavors, also the parents should pay attention to the intake of fluids from their children especially during and after the practice of sports and games.
