IU, Willy Meyer, MEP asks the European Commission recognition of multiple chemical sensitivities and electromagnetic hypersensitivity in the States members of the EU. Brussels, February 2013.- Willy Meyer has requested the Commission to urge the States members of the Union to include the Multiple chemical sensitivity and hypersensitivity electromagnetic as official within their respective health systems disease. Meyer has addressed in writing to the Directorate-General of health and consumption of the Commission to express the need that these diseases are included in the international classification of diseases (ICD) and the respective national lists of occupational diseases. According to Meyer, “Legislation that protects all European patients and not try to avoid responsibilities by denying the existence of these diseases is necessary”.
