Madrid, April 2012.- Campaign Bank of memories ”, created by BBDO counterpoint to the Fundación Reina Sofia, has been rewarded with great amp of gold by the Association of media Publicitarios de Spain (amp) as best multimedia campaign.

Bank of memories ” is a virtual space created for storing all the memories donated by anonymous people, familiar faces and people in the first phase of the disease.

The campaign, in addition to the web, consists of various spots in television and radio spots and ads in press in order to raise awareness in society of the need for research to combat the disease of Alzheimer.

Through the campaign, anyone can collaborate with this initiative by donating one of his favorite memories, through a picture, a video or write a letter. They will also have the possibility of collaborating sponsoring one of memories previously donated by another person, by means of a sum of money, which will be entirely earmarked for Alzheimer disease research.

Esta campaña se enmarca en el trabajo realizado por la Fundación Reina Sofía, durante 2011, con motivo del Año Internacional del Alzheimer 2011 en aras a contribuir a sensibilizar sobre la importancia de la inversión en investigación científica para avanzar en la lucha contra el Alzheimer y las enfermedades neurodegenerativas relacionadas.

La Fundación Reina Sofia

La Fundación Reina Sofia, formed in May 1977, is a joint entity of charity and cultural character without spirit of profit and of a permanent nature. Since 1994, manages and promotes numerous projects in education and health, as well as social and humanitarian aid which benefited children, adults, immigrants, disabled persons affected by natural disasters.

From 2002 to 2007, one of the main lines of action of the Foundation Queen Sofia has been the Alzheimer’s project, whose main exponent is today the Queen Foundation’s Alzheimer’s Disease Center Sofia, opened in 2007 in Vallecas, where have been carried out so far 27 research projectssix of them at the international level. It has also generated more than 60 scientific publications and 38 communications to congresses and scientific meetings.
