La scholarship Bayer for researchers has fulfilled its 20th Edition at an event held last week at the Instituto de Estudios Fiscales in Madrid, and in which the Health Economics Association (AES) has been present. Bayer HealthCare delivery research scholarship in health economics – activity unique in its scope – to recognize the work of young researchers and support them in the field of Economics and management of health

The President of AES, Juan Oliva, has highlighted the Bayer commitment to research and has ensured that grants “must be based on scientific knowledge”. In turn, the Head of Market Access of Bayer HealthCare, Carme Piñol, explained that the pharmaceutical company’s goal is “to promote the talent of young researchers”. The Bayer representative considered “excellent” the investment made by the company German.

From Bayer are pleased that the Fellowship has served so many innovative projects “saw the light”. In addition, the director of the Institute for fiscal studies, José María Labeaga, has stated that “it is very important that the public and the private sector cooperate and encourage this type of activity”.

This scholarship, that today this anniversary, has an endowment of 12,000 euros and gives priority to the work presented by researchers of less than 35 years. During these years the themes of the works have dealt with spending and analysis of health financing, equity and inequality, health policy evaluation, economic evaluation, health and hospital product or living habits and health measures.
