La Paz, 4 APR ( EFE).-medical Bolivians have today announced a 30-day truce on indefinite strike that began last week, to discuss with the Government of President Evo Morales decree which increases his six to eight hour workday.

The President of the medical school of peace, Luis Larrea, said to the press truce aims to show willingness to talk, but the doctors confirm that the decree is unconstitutional because careful against a social conquest of 1970.

Larrea added that the sector “did not accept eight hours” and resume the strike if bargaining the Government insists on it.

Doctors argue that the increase in their hours of work does not solve the problems of the State system of health, which are lack of infrastructure, equipment and jobs.

On the other hand, the Minister of health, Juan Calvimontes, said in press conference that the Truce will serve to speak with doctors since Monday, but about how to improve the implementation of the Decree of the eight hours, which remains in force.

The pause in the strike by doctors not ensured the immediate resumption of the service in State hospitals and social security because health workers unions still not have negotiated with the Government the suspension of their parallel strike.

Medical strike suspended after seven days has been the third of the doctors, after other previous stoppages of 24 and 48 hours, to which the Government responded with wage discounts.
