Cardiovascular disease is the cause of most common death in the woman

XXXI Congress Regional of the Association society Extremadura’s cardiology.

Spain, 2011-October The XXXI Congress Regional of the Association society Extremadura of Cardiology held in Cáceres, Extremadura Hotel, during the 7 and 8 October. The Congress will focus on two key issues, cardiovascular disease (CVD) in women, which presents symptoms different from that of men; and the treatment of diseases hypocaloric, excess lipids in the blood, with the evolution of hipolipemientes drugs.

In order to reduce cardiovascular events (HP) in the global population to have an equivalent reduction in both sexes, however, a number of factors make for women this reduction lower than that of males. On the other hand, hypercholesterolemia is the main risk factor for coronary heart disease.
