CEOMA underlines the importance of prevention towards healthy ageing

The Spanish Confederation of older organizations (CEOMA) has pointed out, coinciding with the celebration, October 1, of the international day of older people, the importance of prevention in all the actions to be taken, both at individual and institutional levels, to achieve an active and healthy ageing.

In this regard, and before the start of the vaccination campaigns in the various autonomous communities, CEOMA, in collaboration with the study influenza Group (GEG), reminded older people vaccinated flu prevents complications that can lead to a worsening of his State of health and who live with them.

One of the initiatives developed by the GGE is the project called Gripómetro, which aims to inform the population about the importance of the prevention of influenza through vaccination, as well as the evolution of immunization against it.
