The India investigates the death of 11 babies in two days in a hospital

New Delhi, 2 sep (EFE).-the Government of the southern Indian region of Andhra Pradesh today ordered an investigation by the death of eleven babies in two days in a public hospital for alleged negligence, according to sources officers.

Seven babies were killed on Thursday and four more today, all with between one and five days of life, because, supposedly, to an error in the system of administration of oxygen.

The parents stated that the deaths were due to a bug in the tubes of oxygen in the room of Neonatology, according to official sources quoted by the Indian agency IANS.

According to that environment, the head of Government of Andhra Pradesh, Kiran Kumar Reddy, asked two of his ministers in the District of Kurnool, where is located the hospital, they move up to the Medical Center and take action.

The regional health, D.L. Ravindra Reddy, Minister said that a team of experts was sent to Kurnool to clarify the causes of what happened and clarified that they would be taken the appropriate steps if it is proved that the deaths were due to a negligence.

Responsible for the hospital described the deaths of “routine” and declared that the deaths were due to complications at birth.

Researchers discover why tumor cells change aspect

Barcelona (Spain), 2 sep (EFE).-Spanish researchers have discovered that cancerous tumors change aspect because it shut down a few molecular switches called microARNS-200s, which are responsible for maintaining the appearance of epithelial cells.

Researchers have discovered that some microARNs of the group called microARNs-200S, suffer a chemical inactivation for which it no longer express themselves and not be present, tumor cells change, stretch, are no longer inhibited and the tumour progresses.

According to Esteller, the results of research show that this is a very dynamic process and that change happens from the appearance of the tumor until the emergence of metastases.

The scientist noted, however, if environmental conditions affecting these cells are changed, the process is reversed.

The study has been primarily in breast and colon tumors, and in addition to serving to learn more about the disease, the results are important because they allow to predict that it is possible to speak externally in the process.

Using pharmacological treatments could reverse the process and move is very evolved to a more primitive tumor that would be associated with less progression of the disease.
