Brushing technique can magnify caries prevention
At the Faculty of public health (FSP) of USP, research demonstrates the effectiveness of the technique vestibule-lingual in brushing of the teeth to prevent tooth decay in a supervised school programme with fluorinated toothpastes.

Between the boys, whose risk of dental caries was higher compared to the girls, the incidence was 50% lower in the group that received this technique of brushing. It was concluded that the program of supervised dental brushing was modified effective in boys, suggesting substantial decrease in dental treatment needs in school curricula more vulnerable to decay, so it can prevent caries lesions more than how it is done currently.
