The emergency military unit visit children admitted to the Hospital La Paz
MADRID, 16 (EUROPA PRESS) Children admitted to the hospital Infantil La Paz have received the visit of a team of unity military in emergencies (UME). With them, children have learned this unit of the armed forces work in adverse situations. This is the second visit of the EMU to the hospital, an action that will be repeated periodically as children as well as the military, share the enthusiasm, optimism and strength they need to overcome adverse situations, as reported by the regional government in both cases. Children admitted to Hospital Universitario La Paz Pediatric hospitalization plants have received the visit of a team of the emergency military unit, a special unit of the Spanish armed forces. This initiative, by one of the members whose nephew remains in the hospital since March of last year, has had a great support from their superiors. This unit is present in major national emergencies and international and its members have worked on the ground of Lorca and Haiti earthquakes or in the recent fires in Galicia. EMU team taught children the work being done in these situations and during the visit, framed in the activities of the Hospitaller Center school, children became familiar with the different intervention team, they carried out practices with climbing ropes and they enjoyed putting helmets and berets of the military and taking pictures with them.
