Paris, 6 March ( EFE).-the European Space Agency (ESA) postponed today until March 23 to the 0431 GMT release of their third vehicle automated transfer (ATV-3), a freighter must supply to the international space station.

The ATV-3 should take off on Board an Ariane-5 rocket on March 9 from the Central European space of Kurú, in French Guiana.

“During a routine inspection is reached the conclusion that it was necessary to take additional measures to ensure the success of the launch of ATV-3, so it was decided to postpone its date”, explained ESA.

The third automated transfer (ATV-3) ESA vehicle is named after the Italian physicist and co-founder of ESA Edoardo Amaldi.

Mission is to attach to the Zvezda of the international space station (ISS) module to supply the space laboratory with 6 tons of fuel and supplies.

Apparatus, more than 20 tons of mass take-off, is part of the programme international to supply the ISS.
