Madrid, 4 Apr (EFE).-the communities of Extremadura, Galicia and Asturias are the autonomies that had the higher cost per capita in medications prescription during the year 2011, with 297 euros in the first two cases and 293 in the third.

Thus consists in a study presented today by the Observatory of the medication of the Federation business of Spanish pharmacists (FEFE), which estimated at 11.136,38 million euros the total cost in Spain in recipes the past year, which means an average of 236 euros per person.

Above this average, are placed the Valencian Community (275 euros), Murcia (262), Aragon (260 euros), Castile and Leon (260 euros) and Castilla – La Mancha (255), in addition to La Rioja (245), Basque country (245) and Cantabria (238).

In the opposite end there are Madrid, with 183 euros; Balearic Islands, with 184 euros, and Andalusia, with 216 euros.

In total cost of recipes, top the list Andalusia (1.823,6 million euros), Catalonia (1.682,6 million euros) and the Valencian Community (1.406,6 million euros).
