Forum Dental Mediterranean 2013 will boost its Congressional agenda and its internationality

Barcelona, March 2012.- professionals who want to know the latest trends, innovations, news and hot topics of dental health sector have an appointment in the Mediterranean Dental ForumFDM, which will be held from 11 to 13 April 2013. Organized for the first time by Fira de Barcelona with the collaboration of the College of dentists and stomatologists of Catalonia (COEC), the next edition has as main objectives strengthen its national leadership as a commercial platform of this area, becoming a point of encounter and exchange of knowledge of the sector and enhance its internationality.

Dental Mediterranean Forum will display on the grounds of the Fira de Barcelona Montjuïc the potential of the dental industry nationally and internationally, whose sales at European level registered an increase of 1.5% in 2011 despite the economic crisis, according to the European Dental Industry. Biennial, the FDM will have an exhibition area and a scientific Congress which pretend to unite, even more, the industry and the profession. The commercial offer will include all types of products and services related to this area, from equipment dental clinics and laboratories of prosthesis, instrumental, furniture and consumables, implantology and costume, among others.

For its part, the Congress, which will focus on dentistry for the near future, what will be will be structured on three cross-cutting themes applied to dental practice: diagnosis in 3D, CAD/CAM systems and magnification in dentistry. There will also be destined for prosthetic dental hygienists sessions and speech therapists, a few professions that, together and coordinated, they form the dental team.

One of the main strategic objectives of Fira de Barcelona, organised by the forthcoming editions of the FDM, is the increase in the presence of exhibitors and international visitors in their classrooms. Currently, through its network of delegations abroad, with representation in 32 countries, the institution performs a permanent task of information and development. In the case of FDM, this commitment to internationalization translates into a marketing plan for the recruitment of participants of markets where the dental industry is of great importance or there is business potential, as the countries of the Mediterranean basin and Latin America.

Dental Mediterranean Forum has the collaboration of the official College of odontologists and stomatologists of Catalonia (COEC) and the support of the industry and the sector. The last edition took place in 2011 and was visited by more than 10,000 professionals.
