(www.neomundo.com.ar) says the commonplace men only think about sex. But scientific studies show that – in addition to that – men also think very often in food and sleep. And the female figures are not so different.

This work, coordinated by Terri Fisher, Professor of Psychology at the Ohio State University, showed that, on average, the number of young people about the sex thought approaching 19 times a day. Meanwhile, the young women who have also participated in the study reported that they were almost 10 thoughts about sex day.

But the new discovery – to be published in the edition of January 2012 in the medical journal Journal of Sex Research – is not about sex, but in another check: when males, on average and daily, also consider food almost 18 times a day (just once less than sex!) and sleep almost 11 times every 24 hours.

Meanwhile, feminists believed in feeding and resting nearly 15 times and 8.5 times a day.

The working

This study participants were students of the Ohio State University and is committed to keeping a journal of your thoughts on these issues during 7 days a week.

They were also subjected to a series of questionnaires about their perceptions leading up to the number of times that they thought sex, food or rest.

“The correction of this stereotype about the frequency of sex, men and women thought is important,” said Fisher. And he added: “it’s amazing how people openly holds false statistics about what men think about sex almost constantly and therefore much more often than women”. “When a man hears a statement like that, you would think there something wrong with him because he thinks about sex all day”.

The study involved 163 women and 120 students University male aged between 18 and 25 years.

Of these, 59 were assigned randomly to track the number of thoughts on the food, the 61 on sleep and 163 on sex.

The researchers explained them that a moment about sex that should score for statistics are verified with any thought about any aspect of sexuality (sexual activity of any kind, fantasies and erotic images, sexual memories and any exciting stimulus).

For food and sleep, also told them that they should record thoughts about food when they thought in including food, hunger, cravings, eating or cooking; while thoughts on dream included dream, sleep, NAP, go to bed, and need rest.

Another interesting point that revealed the work is that male participants were recorded between 1 and 388 thoughts daily on the sex, compared with the range of thoughts on the female sex which was one to 140 times Al day.

“Here”, said Fhisher, “also join a striking detail: there were no women who reports”zero”thoughts about sex every day.” “So that women are also thinking about their sexuality”.
