On 30 March ends the deadline for submission of nominations to the awards journalism IV of the SinDOLOR platform.

– can participate the journalistic work published or issued throughout 2012

-the best work in the written press and audiovisual media categories receive a prize of € 5,000 each and a commemorative sculpture

– calls the SinDOLOR platform, an initiative of the Foundation Grünenthal and the Foundation for research in health (FUINSA), which counts with the collaboration of the National Association of health informants (ANISE)

Madrid, March of 2013- Los IV prizes for journalism of the platform SinDOLOR count on the collaboration of ANISE and are intended to recognize the best journalistic works that have contributed most to educate Spanish society about the problem of painits diagnosis, evolution and treatment.

It will be awarded a prize of 5,000 euros, more a commemorative sculpture, the best article or story presented in each of the two categories of the competition: written press and audiovisual media. In total, the awards are endowed with 10,000 euros. In addition, the Ten finalists and their authors will be publicly disseminated through the media.

A jury made up of personalities from medicine and journalism will choose the winning entries valuing their content, rigor, language and creativity. This year the jury is composed by: Dr. D. Diego Contreras, Chairman of the SED (Spanish society of pain); DRA. Mrs. Dolors Navarro, Vice President of the Spanish Forum of patients; D. Alipio Gutiérrez, President of ANISE (National Association of health informants); D. José Manuel González Huesa, CEO of Servimedia; D. Jaume Segalés, director and presenter of protagonists weekend in ABC-Punto Radio; DRA. Mrs. Isabel Sánchez, Director of the Fundación Grünenthal; Dr. D. Antón Herreros, director of FUINSA (Foundation for health research); and Ms. Rosa Moreno, who will be the Secretary of the jury of this IV Edition of the awards of journalism platform SinDOLOR.

All those journalistic works published or issued in print media, radio, television or Internet between January 1 and December 31, 2012, may be submitted until March 30, 2013 both inclusive, having as main theme the pain from healthcare, social, socio-economic point of view or reporting. alsoits author or authors must be communication professionals and holders of the works presented.

La SinDOLOR platform is an initiative launched in October 2008 by FUINSA (Health Research Foundation) and the Grünenthal Foundation with the aim of improving patient care with pain and their families. The SinDOLOR platform aims to sensitize health structures and the society on the importance that has the pain for those who suffer from it, coordinating actions of training, research and patient care initiatives that will improve the current situation.
