The order of doctors, dentists and the Dental Federation International launched Monday, a medical kit to help health professionals to explain to patients how to improve health at the level of oral diseases.

these diseases are part of the Group of Non-Communicable Diseases (DNC), including cancer, diabetes, respiratory or cardiovascular diseases, and have in common risk factors such as tobacco, alcohol abuse and unhealthy food, with particular focus on excessive consumption of sugar

for being easily detectable by the surgeon-dentist and be risk factors for the other DNC, responsible for approximately 60% of the mortality at the global level, oral diseases and doctors who treat them assume a key role in the prevention and diagnosis of other diseases

most of the DNC is previnida with diet, increase in the level of physical exercise, quit smoking and with the reduction of harmful alcohol consumption.

the Action Kit on DNC, developed by World Health Professions Alliance (WHPA), ” aims to help professionals at communicating with patients to keep them informed about ways to improve health and prevent deadly diseases

kit includes a card “improving health”, a guide for professionals on the use of the card and on how to talk about your content with patients and a guide on the card to the general public

the dissemination of this Action Kit on DNC predates the United Nations Week on Non-Communicable Diseases, which will take place in New York from 19 to 20 September.
