Guatemala, 19 feb (EFE).-the Director of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), Mirta Roses, will arrive tomorrow Monday at Guatemala to reaffirm the continuity of technical cooperation with the Central American country, official sources reported today.

Roses interview tomorrow same with the Guatemalan President, Otto Pérez Molina, and with the Minister of health, Francisco Arredondo, reported Sunday the State Guatemalan News Agency, without specifying how long will remain the International Officer in the country.

The visit is due to intention to reassert the continuity of the technical cooperation of PAHO with Guatemala, where Roses plans to visit two child care centres accompanied by Arredondo, according to the official agency information.

PAHO, which acts as a Regional Office for the Americas of the World Health Organization (who), coordinates the network of international health in Guatemala aid workers, and Roses dialogará with the new national authorities on the critical safety in the country.

Pérez Molina assumed the Presidency on January 14 last for a period of four years and one of its promises is improving the health of the Guatemalan people.

In this context, on Thursday inaugurated the “Zero hunger” program that seeks to reduce levels of chronic malnutrition affected one out of two children under the age of five in the country by 2016 by 10%. EFE
