Jaén, April 2012.- we will try to meet the expectations of participants offering a wide range of training activities that include 20 workshops, 7 round tables and several Symposium. These activities are focused on those aspects that are considered most useful for primary care physicians: prevention (cardiovascular risk and healthy habits), control of chronic patients (diabetes, asthma…), skills in communication, research and serious patient care ”, explains Dr. José Ignacio Peis, President of the Organizing Committee of the VII Congress of physicians of attention primary SEMERGEN Andalusia, which will take place in the Hospital of Santiago in Úbeda (Jaén) of May 17-19.

The appointment will come more than 360 professionals, preferably in Andalusia, but with a broad participation of doctors of other communities. The Congress aims to be a meeting in uppercase, open to all regions of Andalusia and beyond ”, points out Dr. ESRP, who recalls the responsibility of trying to meet the goals of Semergen Andalusia, after the resounding success of previous congresses, when it has come to obtain even the excellence accreditation by the Agency of sanitary quality of Andalusia.

Profile of the President of the Organizing Committee

José Ignacio ESRP Redondo (Guadix, 1964) is a medical specialist in family and community medicine. He was educated at Granada and completed specialty Hospital Ciudad de Jaén. He was fellow of initiation to the investigation of the Andalusian health service, medical coordinator of the sanitary district of Andújar and director of the Center for health of Martos.

Currently working at the Health Center San Felipe (Jaén), where it is responsible for training, coordinates groups of nicotine addiction and is a tutor of residents.

Moreover, it is member of the Integral Plan of smoking of Andalusia, vocal by Jaén of the Spanish society of doctors of attention primary SEMERGEN, Member of the Working Group of lung pathology of this society and member of the Editorial Committee of the magazine SEMERGEN.
