MadridDecember 2012.- Sanitas Residencial has been awarded recognition for innovation in health care management to the person in the third edition of the awards for innovation in management which gives La Unió, Business Association of sanitary and social entities.

The project by a residence without fasteners ”, launched at the beginning of 2011, has been the main reason for La Unió to grant this award to Sanitas Residencial.

It is a plan which aims to eliminate the use of fasteners in 40 centres of the company to preserve the dignity and protect the integrity of residents by offering them the best services and care throughout the different phases of the life of people.

Thus, Sanitas Residencial wanted to share his experience as it is feasible to eliminate physical attachments in residences of different dimension, levels of dependency and different communities and at the same time achieve a maintenance and in some cases reduced the number of falls suffered by the residents, as well as the number of those who have more serious consequences.

Currently, twelve centers of Sanitas Residencial have already done accreditation by the Spanish Confederation of organizations of older – CEOMA – as free of ties and five more have completed certification as centers not holding free GER. In addition, ten more centres in advanced process of reduction of the pylons, way of their elimination.
