Alzira, January 2013.- the Department of health of the Hospital Universitario de La Ribera recommended not forget health among the purposes habitually carried out for the new year. In this sense, it is advisable to leverage 2013 to improve the health and quality of life.

Thus, the primary attention of the Department of health team recommends take the beginning of the new year to incorporate exercise as a daily habit, at any age, since it improves the quality of life thanks to the benefits of physical, psychological and social order that entails. To do this, simply walk half an hour daily, taking advantage of the free weekend time to walk an hour a day, and use the stairs instead of elevators and escalators.

Along with this, quit smoking permanently is one of the best purposes that a person can do for your health in the new year. It should be noted that smoking is the main cause isolated from preventable illness, disability and premature death responsible for 400 deaths a year in the region of La Ribera. To quit smoking, you must set a specific day from which to do so and get rid of cigarettes, lighters and ashtrays; in case of increase in appetite, have to eat healthy foods, low in calories, and increase the consumption of water; exercise, we recommend to not gain weight and calm nervousness, and consult your family doctor.
