This is one of the main conclusions that public managers, people with mental illness, family and professional have agreed at the Conference Mental Health: today and future ”, organized by the FEAFES Confederation and held 20 to 21 in the village of Soto del Barco (Asturias).

Both mental health experts and representatives of the associative movement FEAFES have highlighted the role played by the associations of people with mental illness and family. Reading of conclusions

The Confederation FEAFES has organized this Conference in order to discuss, analyse strategies and propose new actions given the current social and economic situation. These two days up to 16 experts in mental health across Spain, including the former Secretary general of health, Fernando Lamata, the Coordinator of the strategy on Mental health, Manuel Gomez-Beneyto, or the former Minister of health and social services of the Principality of Asturias, José García.
