The essence of dentistry in one book
Brazilian Association of Dental Education (Abeno) and Artes Medical gather the essential basic sciences and professional programs for dental students in publishing unprecedented in the country
‘s more than 48,000 dental students in Brazil will count, as of March 2012, with a complete and unprecedented guide to dental education . In partnership with the Medical Arts , imprint of Group A, the Brazilian Association of Dental Education (Abeno) is organizing the Dental Book Essential, which will bring together what is most relevant in the undergraduate curriculum area, with the renowned author Professors of institutions of higher education throughout the country and involving knowledge of basic sciences and also the professional.
The initiative is the work of the advisory Abeno the public higher education institutions and individuals in the implementation of the National Curriculum Guidelines for the courses degree in Dentistry , established by the National Education Council (CNE) in 2002 and has promoted several changes in students’ education. The contents of the book , which should have more than 60 authors, selected by criteria of academic merit, is being organized by Professors Leo Kriger, Samuel Moyses Moyses, Simone Tetu, all of the Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná (PUC-PR), with coordination of Maria Celeste Morita, president of Abeno.
The production of the book will be officially announced by the organizers during the 46th Annual Meeting of Abeno , held on 10 and Aug. 13, in Florianópolis, with the theme of Dentistry and the World of Work. Students, teachers and researchers from around the country can participate, and entries are off until July 11.
