The Minister of Interior, Jorge Fernández Díaz, has announced that from the General Directorate of traffic (DGT) is structured a screening programme of driving under the influence of drugs similar to alcohol detection controls.

On the other hand, the owner of Interior has pointed out that the Ministry will continue with the modernization of procedures related to the vehicle, facilitating the processing of the following efforts to citizens: registration telematics vehicle, submission of reports relating to vehicles via the Internet, telematic transfers of vehicles second hand and annotation of the outcome of the technical inspection of vehicles telematics.

As regards the establishment of improvements in the process of trafficking sanctions, Fernández Díaz expected to update the addresses contained in the registration of drivers to avoid notifications of the sanctioning procedure failed, as well as introducing a quality system and audit procedure penalties, documenting the entire process, as well as extend to nationwide payment card on road from sanctions imposed.
