Institute for the development and integration of health ( IDIS) has shown his satisfaction that “finally” the Government carried out what are necessary reforms for a health care system “exhausted and untenable”.

In a statement, the IDIS has argued that it is necessary to adopt measures of “cost containment” to ensure effective administration and thus the sustainability of the health system. According to this agency, current public health debt around 15,700 million euros.

The Institute has claimed that the executive measures are aimed to provide the entire population of some “health benefits basic with a universal character that should ensure a quality health care, both in matters of accessibility and the level of benefits”.

In this sense, the IDIS has offered the State services of their clients to understand that the private health sector constitutes “an important strategic ally of the public health system”, being a “pillar” the collaboration between the two to ensure quality in the management and sustainability of the Spanish system.

El IDIS is defined as an entity non-profit that aims to highlight the contribution of the private health to the health of our country and promoting the improvement of the health of all Spaniards. The Board of Trustees of the IDIS is composed of 18 groups of private hospitals and insurance companies involved in private healthcare.
