Madrid, September 2011.- the National Committee of Haematology and haemotherapy considers essential to extend the period of formation of the future Hematologists of four five years into the new regulatory scheme of the core subjects. To contribute to the MIR training, Foundation leukaemia and Lymphoma takes organizing the MIR of Haematology and haemotherapy course for eight years. This course sponsored along with the Spanish society of Haematology and haemotherapy (AEHH) has training credits and was directed by Dr. Adrián Alegre, Chief of the service of Hematology of the Hospital Universitario de la Princesa, and President of the National Commission of Haematology and haemotherapy among other doctors.

The objective of this course is, in the words of Dr. Alegre, updating theoretical and practice of the different aspects of the educational content of the specialty program aimed at resident doctors ”. In addition, the course offers the MIR of Haematology and haemotherapy a vision integrating that combines clinical aspects and themes of specialized laboratory and blood bank.

The latest edition of this course was the participation of 90 residents, who had the opportunity to analyze the quality systems, Dr. Alegre considered key to the training of future specialists.
