the Presidents of the medical collegiate organizations of Spain, France, Italy and Portugal will open an Office in Brussels with the aim of strengthening their representation to the institutions European.

Spain, 2011-September medical representatives of the 4 countries took this decision in the framework an agreement reached in Paris which will open an Office in Brussels from October 1, with the aim of strengthening their representation to the EU institutions, share those policy actions that decide to undertake and facilitate the exchange of information.

Participated in the meeting, which was held at the headquarters of the National Council of the medical order of France, in Paris, by Spain, the President of the Medical College, Dr. Juan José Rodríguez Sendín; Michel Legman, President of the National Council of the France doctors order; the President of the National Federation of doctors surgeons and dentists of Italy, Amedeo Bianco; and the President of the order of physicians of Portugal, Pedro Silva.

The Chairman of the WTO, Juan José Rodríguez Sendín, explains that are aware that must make progress in new structures of dialogue of doctors in Europe to accommodate the political realities, with a common Parliament, because, until now, we acted as if we were still in the Europe of the Nations ”.

Are many and varied – says – organizations medical reference in Europe (the European Council of medical organizations, the European Union of doctors of family and the European Union of medical specialists, are three of the eight European organisations) and there is little coordination between them. Why this initiative we have undertaken the medical collegiate organizations of Spain, France, Italy and Portugal, aims, from proportionality, coordinate representation before the European institutions to participate in all matters related to health that affect us ”.

One of the earliest performances of this initiative of the medical collegiate organizations of Spain, France, Italy and Portugal will be carrying out meetings with the European Parliament responsible for health issues.
