Madrid, November of 2011- the Hospital Moncloa and ASISA held the day II in Gynecology update under the title endoscopy Ginecolómagical ”. The College day, supported by the Spanish society of Gynecology and obstetrics (S.E.G.O.) and by the Universidad Francisco de Vitoria of Madrid, had the participation of more than 150 experts that have addressed the advances in the use of endoscopy in the different gynecological pathologies.

The service of gynaecology and obstetrics of the Moncloa Hospital has organized this seminar, addressed mainly to specialists in Gynecology and medical family, in order to expand the knowledge of participants on current surgical techniques of Gynecologic endoscopy including laparoscopy and Hysteroscopytechniques that they have marked one of the most important specialty advances to be minimally invasive and decrease hospital stay and the risk of complications in patients.

Thanks to the participation in this day of the best experts in the field of the community of Madrid, attendees had the opportunity to attend presentations on indications and treatments of Hysteroscopy and laparoscopy in benign pathology, breeding, urinary incontinence and pathology of the pelvic floor.

Also, they have been imparted interesting presentations on the indication of the laparoscopy in endometrial cancer, cervical cancer, ovarian cancer and the treatment of endometriosis.

Through videos of different surgical procedures, the rapporteurs have illustrated the interventions of Gynecologic endoscopy techniques and have made an introduction to the use of Robotics in Gynecology, in the context of a minimally invasive surgery that can improve the performance of the traditional surgery.

As conclusions, specialists have argued that the use of these diagnostic and therapeutic techniques represents clear progress in the specialty and has implications for a better medical performance. On the other hand, they have stressed that the development of modern optical devices, camcorders, equipment of electronic Insufflation and sophisticated instruments and surgical robots, has helped to address most of gynecological diseases by endoscopic route more safely.
