The platform SinDOLOR announces the 3rd Edition of their journalism awards.


– may participate the journalistic work published or broadcast in 2011, the deadline for submission of nominations began last Tuesday, November 15 and ends on February 29, 2012

-the best works in the categories of General media, specialized press and audiovisual media receive a prize of € 5,000 each one and a commemorative sculpture

– summons the SinDOLOR platforman initiative of the Grünenthal Foundation and the Foundation for research in health (FUINSA), and counts on the collaboration of the National Association of health informers (ANIS)

Madrid, November of 2011- the platform SinDOLOR announces the 3rd Edition of its awards for journalism. These awards, with the collaboration of ANIS, are aimed at recognizing the best journalistic works that have contributed most to educate Spanish society about the problem of pain, your diagnosis, evolution and treatment.

It will be awarded a prize of 5,000 euros, more a Memorial sculpture, to the best article or report presented in each of the three categories of the contest: General media, specialized press and audiovisual media. In total, the awards are endowed with 15,000 euros. In addition, ten finalists works and their authors will be disseminated in the media of communication.

A jury made up of personalities from medicine and journalism, will choose the winning entries valuing their content, rigour, language and creativity. This year the jury is composed by: Dr. D. Alberto Camba, Chairman of the SED (Spanish society of pain); DRA. Ms. Dolors Navarro, Vice-President of the Spanish forums of patients; D. Francisco Cañizares, President of ANIS (National Association of health informers); D. José Manuel González Huesa, CEO of Servimedia; D. Jaume Segalés, director and presenter of weekend players in ABC – point Radio; D. Norberto Villarrasa, director of the Grünenthal Foundation; Dr. D. Anton Herreros, director of FUINSA (Foundation for health research); and D. Juan Quintana, which will be the Secretary of the jury of the III Edition of the awards of journalism platform SinDOLOR.

since Tuesday, November 15 and until February 29, 2012, may submit journalistic work published or aired in written press, radio, television or Internet between January 1 and December 31, 2011both inclusive, have as main theme pain from medical, social, socio-economic point of view or disclosure. Likewise, the author or authors shall be holders of the papers presented and communication professionals.

The SinDOLOR platform is an initiative launched in October 2008 by FUINSA (Foundation for health research) and the Grünenthal Foundation with the aim of improving care for the patient with pain and their families.
